Yesterday I attended the Writing Day Workshop in Austin, TX and I highly recommend attending one in your city or state! It was a full day of sessions covering everything from how to start your first page to character, voice, plot, POV, and everything in between, There were several well-known literary agents in attendance to critique a first page anonymously (in a panel setting), as well as 10-minute one-on-one pitch opportunities.
