This is a unique year-long coaching and instructional program that’s designed to assist writers of all levels (and genres) in setting and accomplishing their professional goals. This is more than a mentoring program because I will work with writers one- on-one with creating realistic goals and also accomplishing them.
My monthly coaching sessions will be 30 minutes in length. During that time, we will meet on zoom or in the sprint chat room and discuss the writer’s personal goals. We’ll write down those goals together and then week-by-week, I will be following up with each writer to see how they are doing. Writers will learn to set S.M.A.R.T. goals and be taught the necessary skills for reaching them, and then guided into putting them into practice.
I will also be setting up a monthly zoom chat with all the members of this program to see how everyone is doing. This will be a time to share challenges and setbacks. It will also give us an opportunity to encourage each other to reach our goals. Many of the writers I have coached over the years have become close friends. They have kept in touch for over a decade and are
keeping each other accountable. So, this coaching program is unique. It helps writers individually to improve with my monthly one-on-one meetings, and as a group to keep each other accountable.
I run monthly challenges with timelines that encourage writers to
stretch outside of their comfort zones, achieve individual goals, or practice new skills.
I also offer monthly workshops in the group to develop your skills in different areas of writing. Everything I offer is designed to take your writing (and productivity) to the next level! As a multi-published author in nonfiction and fiction, I write along with all of you. My goal is to spur the group along to get the most writing done and to reach—or surpass—everyone's professional goals. I’m in the chat room every afternoon from 1 to 5 pm EST to write. I invite all the people in my group to join me. I also offer a few evening sprints.
These sprints are designed for the writers in this group to come together and write. Writing can be a lonely vocation. So, writing together can really help. I have check-in times at 55 minutes to the hour to see how everyone is doing.
Further, I offer the writers in this program an opportunity to write e-books so that they can have a passive income as writers. E- book publishing is very popular these days. And it is one type of writing that you can in addition to any other type that you’re doing.
In addition, I will show students how to self-publish those e-books as a way to create passive streams of income. Then, they can take their time to write their stories, not worrying about the
financial pressures of writing for publication.
Our forum is an excellent place for writers to find support for their efforts, to share struggles and accomplishment and friendship, to feel inspired and motivated, and to enjoy each other’s company. So, if you want 2025 to be your best writing year yet, register now!
“I've taken many skill-building workshops that taught me how to write, but Irene's mentoring workshop is the only class that taught me how to smartly establish and reach my writing
goals. Additional side benefits: her focus on being a healthy writer greatly improved my diet & exercise routine...while I tripled my daily word count!” ~ KMM
“Irene's brilliant and 'doable' guidance combined with irrepressible enthusiasm and unfailing energy (especially in the face of physical injury/illnesses of self and family) cannot fail to inspire and spur a student to reach deeper within in order to successfully achieve higher goals. Her empowering leadership that entrusts a student with presenting a chat spurred me to expand my belief in my own abilities.” ~ LD
“Irene teaches you to set goals, work on your goals, meet your goals, not just for a day or a week, but week after week, month after month, until you are a goal-setting machine.” ~ SP
“There are so many wonderful things to say about Irene Roth’s Mentoring program, but one key aspect of it stands out the most for me, and no doubt for others. Irene takes mentoring to a whole new level. She has a unique compassion for writers and their solitary journey that is often plagued with conflict, crises, and setbacks. Irene doesn’t just sympathize, she offers the writer a plan to get the writer through the crises, step by step. Sometimes with personal examples. This is a mentoring program that doesn’t let you fail. You can dream again.” ~ CG
