| INSTRUCTOR:
 | Combat medic, librarian, jail guard, cop. Mac graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Independent Studies from Maharishi University of Management and has over 10000 hours of post-graduate training and teaching in conflict management, criminal justice – corrections and enforcement, and martial arts. He has ‘majored’, earning black belts and instructor certifications in Chinese, Japanese, Filipino and Okinawan arts, and ‘minored’ in Roman and medieval period weapons styles, including sabre (fencing) and broadsword and shield. Mac retired in 2009 after 21 years as a Deputy Sheriff in Portland, Oregon, and continues his study in quantum philosophy while teaching criminal justice classes at a local college.
