| Tarot and Writing: A Three Month Intensive | |
Instructor: Devon Ellington. The course will cover different aspects of the use of tarot in writing and to support writing. The first section will focus on learning to interpret the cards, and how to find your own path towards the meaning, using traditional meanings and variations as the foundation. The second section will focus on using the tarot to help the writer break through creative blocks (reading for oneself). The third section will focus on using the tarot in the writing, creating spreads to further the plot, creating spreads for characters, and within the fictional context in a manner respectful towards the craft of tarot reading (even if your character is a charlatan).
This is an active, participatory class. Students must complete all exercises in each section on time in order to move to the next section. It is not a therapy class or a space for proselytizing.
Students must commit to the full three months.
NOTE: Application Process necessary. Applications must be returned within one week of signing up for the class, or applicant loses the spot. Wait list will be created if necessary. Application must be completed and approved to be added to the waiting list. You can find the application in the link below.
