Hi Is there any way to pay for all registered workshops in one go? Sometimes I register for 3 or 4 that start on the same day and it can take me a good half hour to register for each one at a time. It would be great to be able to pay for them all at once. Now, even if this feature isn't added, I will still allow my savvy workshop addiction to thrive :)
This is embarrassing, b/c I'm sure it's here SOMEwhere but I've looked and can't find it... I know the newsletter is sent by email but I could have sworn it used to be readable on the Forums as well (which I prefer) -- under Front Page or something.... Deb Mc:o
I'd really love to be able to give feedback on workshops. I haven't taken a lot yet, but most of what I've taken has been useful, but there was one that was nothing like what I'd thought it would be and not in a good way. I think this is something that whoever coordinates these workshops should know because this sort of thing can either build Savvy's reputation or seriously undermine it.
I'd love to see a 'bookmark like' tab at the top, maybe beside My Savvy, where we could click to see a list of say 5 bookmarks set on certain forums we visit often. For instance i'd bookmark 3 right away, my team forum, the Daily Journal thread in my Savvy U course and the moderator's forum. Places I post in but not necessarily in reply to someone else.
When I signed up for a premium membership to SA, one of the features that decided me on paying to join was the front page listing of links to members' blogs - the external blogs and web sites. Where did that feature go? I've been hunting around on the new site design and I can't find it. If it's gone altogether, I'd like to request it be brought back. If it's hidden somewhere, I'd request it's made prominent once more. As an author who has to make memberships everywhere do double duty...
So I finally posted a WIP in the Dungeon (so far it's just a title but it's only Day 1 of NaNo!) Being terminally shy (or inherently covert) about my drafts, for VISIBILITY I selected "Only Me" I noticed the other options are "Everyone" and "Only Members." Isn't there anything between "everyone" "everyone at Savvy" and "only me?" That seems to be a huge jump on the scale between thousands of Savvy members and just me. What if I want to show my draft to a few select trusted...
Will we ever be able to use our points to go towards classes again?
I participated in a workshop during the month of August (Undercover Ops). I have paid premium membership and I paid for the workshop itself. When I scroll down to the Workshops area of the forum now the August workshop is gone. Do I not have access to an archive of workshops taken? And if I don't, can someone help me with copying information from that August workshop? I'd assumed I would have access to it in archives after the end date. Thanks in advance.
Maybe it's just me, but I seem to have misplaced the dungeon. Am I just not looking in the right place? Suz
As a heads up to people, with the new upgrades to the site, you may need to redo your subscriptions to various forums. I'm unsure if this is a bug or just a result of moving stuff around.
I am a paying member of the site, and paid for the workshop "Edge of your seat: how to add suspense to your writing." When I go to "My Events" and click on the workshop, I get the below message. I don't want to sign up again, I just paid my dues about 2 months ago. How do I get past this? The workshop starts today! thanks. vBulletin Message Jen, this area of the website is restricted to paid memberships. Join today to gain full access to this area of the site by Clicking Here
hiya i was wondering if we could have a 'my teams' button with the other buttons like 'Notifications', 'My Profile' and 'my events' etc. So that when you clicked on it, it took you straight to your individual teams. Or even just the teams page in the forum if indivual teams is too hard to do. Thanks. Raelz
I'm trying to download a photo from my computer. It's a jpg, size 150 x 113. My uploads continue to fail.
Hello, how do you get RSS Feed to work? I've clicked on the 'orange' box, but it goes to a 'blank' page and nothing happens. I am running Outlook 2007, and I have other RSS feeds working (i.e., MSNBC), but I can't get Savvy to work. Help? Thanks. LD
This is for Liz (I think): I have a finalist badge I'd like to put on to come up with my posts (like some people have at the bottom with books, blogs, et cetera). I can email it to you if you find it to be appropriate to put up for the bottom of my posts. The attachment gizmo on this editor confounds me. Cheers, Kelly
I recently took a class at Savvy Authors and the critter form was mentioned and the class was even allowed to use it. Where is it located on the site? I no longer have the link and want to use it again. Thanks, Kathy
I saw the new notice about expanded features and for on-site personal blogs it said we could pull from an external blog - how do we do that? Any advice is appreciated.
I was looking all over the place to see if there is a banner to Savvy Authors that I can place on my blog. If there are some available, can someone point me in that direction?
Are paid workshops saved someplace?
Hi, I'm fairly new here, so still learning my way around. I'm trying to locate the Blog Tour Wizard. Any help would be great! (I know the Wizard has probably been staring me in the face :)) Thanks, Ruth
