Hi Savvy Peeps and Friends, Shannon K. Butcher will be chatting with us on November 17th at 9 p.m. Eastern, and will be giving away a signed ARC and a handmade glass bookmark. The event page wouldn't let me showcase the pics of the ARC and bookmark, so I'm posting them here:

Well, this has probably been the least smooth website upgrade I've ever done, and I apologize. I copied all 150 tables by hand at 1am last night (new website tables had different structures so that's the only way to migrate) and then by 3am I was ready to rename the old vb folder and move the test folder over... Only our hosting company wouldn't allow me to remove the vb folder while it was still in use. Since Savvy is worldwide (YAY!), our servers were being pinged all night long so I never...
Come and join us tonight in the Newbie Central chatroom for a Meet and Greet Chat. http://www.savvyauthors.com/vb/chatlobby.php Kris from Writer's Court and JoJo from Pimp My Pitch will be in attendance. I'll also be giving away another craft book to a lucky attendee. It's perfect time to ask questions about the site and its fabulous features!
Join us tonight (Aug. 17th) as we host our first Savvy Meet and Greet Chat at 9 p.m. EDT. If we have a decent turnout, I hope to make this a bi-weekly or monthly event. We'll go over some of the great features offered here at Savvy Authors and highlight upcoming events. Have questions  - this is a good time to get them answered. I hope to see you there!
Savvy Authors would like to offer a Welcome Packet to new members that would include an overview of site features, including how to manage account settings, subscriptions, join groups, use the autocritter, etc. If anyone has a little extra time and would like to offer their services to not only help the community but help get our new members acclimated and involved faster, please send me an email at liz@savvyauthors.com. Remember, volunteering does a body good! Thank you!
You've joined a group, you've started making new friends, maybe you've even been doing Boot Camp for the last three weeks... You're totally loving Savvy Authors and now you're wondering how you can get more involved? How can you help this great community grow? Well, don't despair! Savvy Authors is planning on putting on a FREE mini-conference Jul 28-Aug 1st for those not attending the writer's conference in Orlando. We've already lined up 10 free mini-workshops and goodie bags, etc, but we...
The new Savvy Point Exchange module is ready for beta testing. If you'd like to be one of the testers for this exciting new feature and please email liz@savvyauthors.com. We need both published authors needing promo and unpublished authors wishing to offer promo and the purchasing items with acquired points. For this initial round of testing, we'd prefer tech-savvy volunteers. Thanks!
Literary intern, C.A. Marshall, will be hosting a weekly column in the Learning Center where users can email her your queries at askanintern@savvyauthors.com for her impressions, feedback, suggestions. Every Wednesday, she'll choose a query and post it to the group with her comments on what worked and what didn't. Don't miss this great opportunity to get feedback from someone who reads and evaluates hundreds of queries a week!
