    Then “Revise like a Pro” is the course for you. This course will not only show you how to revise your first draft, but lead you step-by-step in layering your manuscript to create a rich tapestry of words. By the end of 3 months you will have revised your first draft to a whole new level quality.


    Objectives of this three-month session:


    · Learn how to do “big picture” revisions

    · Learn how to add take your book to the next level through the use of theme, symbolism, subtext, description and pacing

    · Learn tips and techniques the pros use to make sure their revisions are a standout.

    · Learn to embrace revisions as the most important part of writing.


    The intended audience is for authors who want to take their wring to the next level. A first draft of a novel is required.

    Course focus: Genre fiction

    Course level: Intermediate to Advanced

    COURSE APPLICATION PROCESS & TUITION

    Due to the intensive nature of this mentoring program, all prospective students must first submit an application plus a 5-page sample of their writing. A completed synopsis or outline (even if rough) will also be required to make sure no student’s manuscript is going to require more than a 50% rewrite.

    Admittance is at the instructor's discretion. Ms. Wilde will be evaluating applications as they are received, and once an application has been approved, the student will have 48 hours to complete the downpayment.

    An application will be sent once registration is completed.





    Tuition will consist of one non-refundable $250 deposit to be applied to your last month’s tuition and two additional monthly payments of $250 each.

    Cancellation Policy: Any student may cancel at any time after the course begins and forfeit the non-refundable deposit.


    Instructor Bio: NYT and USA Today Bestselling author, Lori Wilde, has sold 64 novels and novellas to Harlequin/Silhouette, Time Warner, Avon, and St. Martin’s Press. Her books have been translated into 22 languages, and her work has appeared in Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Complete Woman, and Simple magazines. She is a four-time nominee for the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award and a former finalist for the Romance Writers of America prestigious RITA award. Lori is a registered nurse with a certificate in forensics and for the past 13 years, she has made her living by writing fiction.
