Ever want to find other writer's that share your passions, ideas or current "situation"? Savvy hosts a diverse collection of groups for you to join. Whether you are interested in juggling family life with your writing, want to learn more about a specific genre or just connect with other writers, you are sure to find friends with the groups offered on the Savvy site.
On the main page, click on "Community" and then "Groups" from the drop down menu.
Scroll through the page and find a group or two (or three) that highlights information you'd be interested in.
Click "Join" on the group(s) you want.
For example, Parent vs. Pen is a group described as "Juggling family life and a prolific writing career takes its toll on parents. Share your challenges, triumphs, and tips with fellow writer-parents here!"
Additionally, We Like it Hot describes itself as "A writing and brainstorming group for authors of erotic romance novels and novellas. All heat levels, genres and erotic combinations welcome!"
Also, Hook 'Em in Five is a critique group dedicated to honing those all important first five pages of your manuscript.
No matter what you are interested in, be it romance, YA, or just plain writing in general, there is a group for you to join full of other authors ready to give and take advice.
Want to start a new group? At the top right hand of the Group page, click "Create Group".
When the form comes up, fill in the information asked:
1. Group Category
2. Group Name
3. Group Description
4. Group Type (public, moderated, invite only) - (Any member can join public and moderated groups. Users must be approved by a group leader before membership is finalized for moderated groups. Invite Only groups require that a group leader invite a user before they can join.)
5. Group Options (click on the specifications you want)
6. Click "Save"
Hope this helps! Until next time - Happy Writing
