Great time at rwa nationals...

For those of you who wonder if going to RWA Nationals is worth it, I have to say "yes it is."
I'm a newly published author, but I still have so much learning and growing to do, and I feel that some of the classes at RWA are geared directly for those like me.

This was also the first time my room mate has attended RWA and she's a new aspiring writer. She took classes that were geared toward the basics, and she loved it as well.

Then several of my friends who have been published a dozen or so times, they enjoyed the classes as well.

As writers/authors, our job is to keep learning the trade. Don't stop because you are published.

One of my favorite classes was by Donald Maass. I can't recall the title, I think it was something like "Fire In Fiction" or something along those lines. It was one of the best 1 hour classes I've ever taken.

I also met a few agents that I didn't pitch to, but was glad to run into them. To me it's important to get to know agents/editors, and see if you blend or not.

That's about it. Now to finish tweaking my 3rd round of polishing...
