Hi Melinda,
We're beta testing the point system and hope to launch it in the next couple of days. As with most of my projects, the more I got into it the larger it got... so now it's a bit bigger than just a simple point system. LOL

A few upcoming features include:
1. The ability to earn points fulfilling promo requests by authors and Savvy Authors.
2. The ability to spend your points in the Point Store on workshops, pitch appts, crits and numerous other items that anyone can create.
3. The ability to auction off services like critiques, mentoring, etc.
4. The ability to trade, sell or donate any items including a book exchange, software exchange, etc.
5. The ability to create a seller/buyer profile that is separate from your membership profile. For instance, you may prefer to operate within the site using one of your pennames, but you can create a seller/buyer profile under your real name in case items will need to be shipped, etc and the end recipient will cannot connect your real name with your penname. Most people won't use this feature, but just in case... :)
