I just used points to sign up for Farthingales to Flappers workshop yesterday.

When you go to register for a workshop it will tell you the fee and if you can use points for the fee. There are only a few that allow points for payment. There is Farthingales and one other I saw coming up in Sept.

By posting, apparently -- at least, all I've done is post messages. After awhile I realized that the more you post, the more points you accumulate, and you get "promoted" -- from member to senior member to active member....I think Jedi Master might be the Top Rank ;-D

Top rank is to be as cool as Harrison is... (*Grin) It doesn't get any nerdier..., er..., ummm, I mean, it doesn't get any better than that!

It seems the workshops using points as payment are few and far between, which is understandable.

When I went to pay with points for the Cant workshop, it says I have only 5 points, but I see 99 points on my profile? Are these not the same points?

Yes Agreed! If we are rewarded points, then we should be able to utilize them more ;)
