| Workshop Where to Begin - Six Sure Fired Ways to Begin Your Book |
||
Instructor: BJ Daniels. This is a hands-on workshop. During the week we will use six different methods to write that all-important first paragraph of your book.
If you’re like me, you take a book off the shelf at the store, open it to Chapter One and read the first couple of paragraphs. I can usually tell by the writing style and the way the author started the story whether I want to read the book.
I think this proves how important it is to grab the reader by the throat in those first paragraphs.
So that is what this workshop is about – how to hook a reader or editor in that first paragraph and amp up the suspense so they can’t stop reading. | ||
